So they did not understand how profound Love is. There had to be something I could do that would convince them. But what? How could I convince them beyond the shadow of a doubt of my love for them? Then it came to me. They put the highest value on their lives and had no qualms about taking the lives of others? What would happen if I offered myself to be killed? could there be any greater demonstration of my love for them than allowing myself to be sacrificed?
