Come.....come....come.

From the shadows of the woods rose Sahadev, carrying a pitch of water: from the wood apple tree rose Bhisma from his bed of arrows; then out came the brave Karna; Arjun with his Gandhiv bow; the driver of his chariot, Sri Krishana; the undefeated prince, Duryodhan; the hapless Bhanumati; the tearful Janaki on the bank of the river Tamasa; the beautiful princess Subhadra, at her swyamvar sabha, garland in hands, eyes cast down, walking slowly; and many other figures from the two epics. Together they beconed and smiled at him:
"Here you are!" they said,"stretching their arms.
"Come back to us again. Dont you know us? Think of those afternoons spent by our broken window, those intimate exchanges.......we know you well.
Come back to us........come.......come......come!"
